Cables, Rollers & Other Parts Repair
Most garage door trouble starts with one small part. We find it, replace it with the right one and check the rest of the door.
- Cables & drums
- Rollers & hinges
- Seals & sensors
Parts we repair and replace
Lift cables & drums
Frayed or broken cables, cables off the drum, and bottom brackets rusted where the cable attaches.
Rollers
Worn steel rollers grind and wobble. Sealed nylon rollers run much quieter and smoother.
Hinges
Cracked or worn hinges between sections — a common cause of noise and a door that sags in the middle.
Tracks
Bent, loose or out-of-line tracks straightened, re-anchored or replaced.
Weather seals
Bottom seal and side and top weatherstrip that keep out rain, snow, leaves and drafts.
Panels & sections
A dented or cracked section replaced to match, when the maker still produces it.
Safety sensors
Photo eyes realigned, rewired or replaced so the door closes and reverses as it should.
Bearings & brackets
Center and end bearing plates, top fixtures and bottom brackets that hold the system together.
Remotes & keypads
New remotes, keypads and wall buttons programmed to your opener.
Off-track doors
A door comes off its track when a roller breaks, a track gets hit or a cable fails. We secure the door, release any tension safely, guide the rollers back, straighten or replace the track and fix whatever caused it — then re-balance and test.
Seals for a Long Island winter
A torn bottom seal lets water sit in the corners of the door, where it rusts the bottom brackets and cables — and in winter it can freeze the door to the driveway. A new seal is one of the cheapest fixes that protects the rest of the door.
4-year repair warranty
Our written warranty covers the parts we supply and our labor. Door and opener manufacturers add their own warranties on top — we register new openers for you.

Garage door parts questions
Updated October 2026. Something else? Call (516) 493-4680 and tell us what the door is doing.
Can I just replace one garage door roller?
You can, but if one roller has worn out the others usually aren’t far behind. Replacing the full set at once is quieter and saves a second visit.
What does it mean when the cable comes off the drum?
The cable has gone slack — often from a broken spring or an obstruction under the door. The door may hang crooked. Leave it and call; it needs to be secured before re-cabling.
Why does my garage door bounce back up when it closes?
Usually the safety sensors are blocked or misaligned, or the close-force setting needs adjusting. Clean the sensor lenses and check that both lights are steady.
